The Qualification Model was developed for the following purposes:
- To qualify all sub-systems for spacecraft environment.
- To calibrate the instrument and to check the achievements of all specifications
The tests performed on the HEPD-QM have been:
- Mechanical Tests;
- Thermal and Thermovacuum Tests;
- EMI-EMC Tests;
- Functional Tests.
A beam test campaign with electrons was performed at BTF facility at INFN-LNF to the end of April 2016. Functional tests were performed in clean room of INFN Rome Tor Vergata.
The QM was shipped to China at DFH Satellite Co. on 5 September 2016. At the end of October satellite-level tests were performed (electrical interface, electrical compatibility, telecommands and telemetry, data acquisition) successfully. The QM returned to Rome on 16 november 2016.
