The Calorimeter consists of 16 layers of plastic scintillator (15×15×1 cm3) followed by a 3 × 3 matrix of an inorganic scintillator LYSO (15×15×4 cm3). Each sensor is read by photomultipliers tubes (PMTs Hamamatsu), one on each side. The base and the lateral walls are surrounded by 5 mm thick plastic veto scintillators. A power supply subsystem provides the low voltage to the detector electronics and the high voltage for the PMTs and Silicon modules.
